Storybook 7 support is out and it makes Storybook 6 look like complete trash. An update would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. It's under development. In fact it is already developed, but I still cannot build and test it in Storybook 7 infra, because it changed a lot in v7. I plan to find time soon to finish it up. I think we may finish it within a month...

I am happy to help with the effort. I would just need some assistance getting my local development up. I have not worked with something like this before. I reached out on Discord some time ago but haven't heard back. Perhaps we can link up there and make this a joint effort?

ekzobrain commented 1 year ago

Ok, I will merge my changes with latest Storybook and give you a link soon

tomtomau commented 1 year ago

hey @ekzobrain can we help out at all with this one?

ekzobrain commented 1 year ago

@CollinHerber @tomtomau I'm sorry for the delay, just very busy now. I will do my best to publish sources this weekend.

@tomtomau @CollinHerber I've pushed my code that I made for Storybook 7 alpha: https://github.com/ekzobrain/storybook/tree/aurelia_support It is not not up to date with current Storybook 7 GA and needs fixes. I will be looking at it, while you may also start to dive in.

I spent a good chunk trying to get the project running locally via the instructions provided on the readme and was running into issue after issue. Without knowing how to work on this locally I was unsure how to proceed. I am unfamiliar with this type of repository structuring.

I do have a Material 3 Aurelia 2 component library in progress though that I would use as the "test" to ensure things are generating correctly across the board. https://github.com/Betsy-Bot/betsy-web-components/tree/preview

No problem, thank's for your attempt. Their current repo is really a mess. I will handle it very soon.
