Preview for hdf5 files #5063

Describe your feature request precisely

Some formats of files attached to experiments are already recognized and thumbnails and previewers are provided. A very common file format for measurement data is the hdf5 format, for which a powerful web viewer exists (also for embedded use), see https://h5web.panosc.eu/. This could be implemented in eLabFTW to provide a preview for e.g. .h5, .hdf5, .nxs files.

Thank you for your suggestion. I agree HDF5 format is an interesting target to improve visualization in uploaded files.
