Normal for HA to maintain a constant stream even if no cameras are being displayed anywhere? #131

I noticed in my Blue Iris Status pane that HA is streaming one of my cameras at 3000kbps at all times.

I don't even have a camera displaying anywhere in any dashboards... I only use this integration for all of the MQTT sensors. When I want to view the cameras I just use UI3.

I cannot figure out how to stop the stream, or what is causing it, but it's coming from the HA server.

Anyone care to shed some light on this for me?

Thank you!!

Hi, I have the same issue while i'm not using that component (switched to Shinobi Video), It seems that HA is remembering the last viewed stream and keep streaming it, Can you pls check in logs what component is streaming? Is it stream or camera?

Thanks

I believe it's the stream component due to seeing this error a lot: Screen Shot 2021-12-13 at 12 46 23 PM

But yeah, I don't have the stream embedded in any dashboards so I don't know why it establishes a connection at all. It starts up immediately after restarting HA without me viewing any of the cameras.

Edit to add: It doesn't necessarily matter that it is doing this... I didn't notice for the last year it was running. Just found it to be odd and wanted to discuss it. My network is not impacted by it. If it's an issue on the HA side then that would make sense too.
