update to reflect switch to git and github #23

Hey Ted,

I remember we talked about updating the readme. Here are some basic changes. If I forgot something we can work on this branch some more before committing.

Hey Burt,

The computer I used to test the clone complained about certificates for https:, so I switched it to git:. Also, I added some more stuff. Feel free to revise or add more.

Indeed, it would be interesting to test it. I'll merge this branch, and when we can update the file if need be after the test.
