This APM agent is shipped as a Debian package. But they are not published to the Elasticsearch apt repository, unlike almost all other projects.
This means I have to get .deb files from GitHub releases, and keep them up-to-date manually (the APM agent doesn't run inside the Elastic Agent, so they're not auto-updated by Fleet, AFAICS).
