I've been writing ESQL with the names of non-user provided things in ALL CAPS like you'd traditionally do with SQL. Kibana has migrated to doing that in it's IDE box for ESQL. We should probably make our error messages line up.
Here's what our error message looks like in kibana now:
Which is sad, because it suggests lovely ALL CAPS keywords.
