It started failing fairly reliably from this commit or before: https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/commit/e47365f413db06a504c0ec2758bbbccbc054d99c

The logs make me wonder if we need to wait for green, we can do that pretty easily. here are the logs for that first failure.
