Pinging @elastic/elastic-agent (Team:Elastic-Agent)

@Danouchka - The user defined database will be passed as a user input from the integrations UI and the metrics collected for those database.
Hi @muthu-mps , I dont agree with this at all. It's a clear regression compared to Metricbeat. Infra Team is not even aware at time of the created customer DBs and the dashboards help them discover them. What if customer has 100 DBs, 1000 DBs ? Why can Metricbeat scrap transaction log metrics for both system DBs and customer DBs and not Elastic-Agent ?
Hi @muthu-mps,
I must say I agree with @Danouchka perspective. We should aim at providing the same functionality with the Elastic agent based MS SQL Server Integration; maybe even improving the experience.
Furthermore the scenario where a customer has 100DBs/ 1000 DBs is not that uncommon in a customer setting.
Can you please work with @SubhrataK and make sure we at least match the Beats functionality?
Thank you!
@pmeresanu85 - Sure, We are currently working on this. FYI - This issue is also tracked here.
Hi! We just realized that we haven't looked into this issue in a while. We're sorry! We're labeling this issue as Stale
to make it hit our filters and make sure we get back to it as soon as possible. In the meantime, it'd be extremely helpful if you could take a look at it as well and confirm its relevance. A simple comment with a nice emoji will be enough :+1
. Thank you for your contribution!
Hello
Currently metricbeat retrieves transaction log metrics for user defined databases and system databases
Issue At equivalent configuration, elastic-Agent Microsoft SQL Server Integration does retrieve Transaction Logs metrics only for system databases. Transaction Logs metrics for user-defined databases should be also retrieved by Elastic Agent SQL Server integration
Thanks
