we're running elastic cloud (8.11.1) and had been using multiple hosts with the windows integration (v1.30.0).
First of all the integration is not shown as an installed integration in integrations although we have policies using the integration. When opening the windows integration details site it does not show the integration policies tab that shows the policies that use the integration. When querying the api (i.e.fleet/package_policies) we see the integrations and the policies details page also show the integration.
We're currently on 1.30.0 and tried updating the integration multiple time during the last weeks whenever new versions had been released without any success.
We removed all windows integrations in order to see if this helps, but it did not.
After 2-3 minutes the following error comes up
Update still fails and now trying to add a windows integration (with just the default settings with no changes) results in the following error message:
Error updating windows to 1.43.0: Unexpected token in JSON at position 81799
Going back to the "old version" in the url (/app/fleet/integrations/windows-1.30.0/add-integration) allows us to at least install the old version again but again the details page is not showing the integrations tab and we're back at the beginning.
As the integration was missing from the "installed integrations" tab we did not notice it being missing and never saw that we missed multiple updates. This might also be a security concern as we cannot see all installed integrations and verifiy that security issues or bug fixes are deployed (as we are running a highly regulated environment).
If you need any further details I'm happy to provide them :)
