That's true, but emails can get filtered and they might not always see it. It's good practice to offer the same info in app.
2) Users will know that they need to go back to cloud
Not necessarily. Their journey starts on elastic.co and could look like this:
- user navigates elastic.co
- user clicks
Try free - user lands on cloud.elastic.co
- user creates cloud account
- user enters the deployment creation flow
- user is dropped into Kibana, whose url looks very different from
- user notices that the link has changed.
- user bookmarks the new URL which they'll access it directly without getting to cloud.elastic.co

The new deployment creation flow drops users in Kibana where they'll spend most of their time.
A trial user might not even navigate back to cloud, which holds and displays information about their trial (# of days left), which is displayed on the top bar:
At this moment, Kibana isn't trial aware. A user cannot see how many days they have left, so when the time is up, cloud terminates the deployment, users will lose access to the Kibana console, and their page will look like this:

We should be help users know the status of their trial, and, just like cloud, offer a link to entering their credit card details.
