Pinging @elastic/kibana-presentation (Team:Presentation)
removing this from Fast Dashboards. While improving perceived performance, it is a UX feature and has other benefits as well (Ease of use, etc...)
I don't think we are doing this anytime in the next year... I'm putting impact:low to this issue. Should we remove it from this Roadmap project?
Describe the feature:
Maps should be editable inside the Dashboard.
This is a similar feature request for Lens https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/166833
Describe a specific use case for the feature:
Dashboards editors can edit Maps in place. This reduces the amount of clicking required. It improves perceived performance (the data does not need to be reloaded). This would be particularly useful for small "tweaks" (e.g. changing layer color, changing scale-range, etc..)
Lens is proposing this in-place-editing by using a slide-out. Not sure if this is required for Maps, since the layer-TOC already is the editor (maybe the layer-TOC can just be re-opened in "edit mode" (?)).
