[Infra UI] UX issues when creating Infrastructure ML jobs in Serverless #173863

Found in Serverless 2023-12-21

  1. Open Observability project
  2. Go to Infrastructure / Inventory
  3. Click on Anomaly Detection (in header)
  4. Create Hosts or K8s jobs

The ML jobs are created successfully, however the following error message is displayed.

The first time I did it, the system was likely waiting for the ML node to scale up. The second time I did it, I could not see any errors in inspect. It's possible the server responded slower than expected.

Summary of issues:

  1. The actual error message should always be visible (hide behind a "show more" link if necessary).
  2. Creating ML jobs should have a UX which is tolerant to wait for the ML node to autoscale up (from zero to 1 etc)
  3. Whilst waiting for the ML node to scale up, I briefly glimpsed text on screen talking about ESS and enabling autoscaling. I did not manage to capture a screen grab. Text should be changed to something more appropriate for Serverless.
