Describe the bug The user is always navigated to the queries tab from analyzer on the timeline tab

Build Details

VERSION: 8.14.0
BUILD: 72921

Browser Details This issue is occurring on all browsers.

Preconditions

  1. Kibana v8.14 must be available.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Security -> Alerts
  2. Add any alert to timeline
  3. Navigate to the analyzer for the alert
  4. Click on any other tab
  5. Observe that user is always navigated to the query tab

Actual Result The user is always navigated to the queries tab from analyzer on the timeline tab no matter which tab the user selects

Expected Result The user should be navigated to the user selected tab from analyzer on the timeline tab

Hi @christineweng,

We have this ticket on the 8.14.1 BC1 and found the issue is still reproducible there. Please find below the testing details:

Build details:

VERSION: 8.14.1
BUILD: 74015
COMMIT: afbd904e868f2a48a2bbeb8ff20baee8d4aeb468

Observations and Screen Recording: The user is still navigated to the Query tab on selecting any other tab:

let's keep an eye on this, as a recent change is moving the analyzer from timeline to the expandable flyout. It is currently behind an advanced settings turned off by default, but once we turn it on and remove the old code, the timeline tab will be gone
