Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'map') after upgrading to 8.14.1 #186921

Kibana version: 8.14.1

Elasticsearch version: 8.14.1

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): Present in ESS.

Describe the bug: After upgrading to 8.14.1 from 8.12 user is encountering a "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'map')" error while browsing the Security UI, especially the Timeline and Hosts pages.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. After updating to 8.14.1 navigate to Security > Explore > Hosts > Events

Expected behavior: Page opens without issues.

Not having the sessions view load properly is a pretty big operational impact for efficient response and threat hunting.

Would really like to see this get prioritized.
