Clone Space #39413

Currently, there is no easy way for a user to clone an existing space to use when creating a new space. Now that spaces are used to customize which features are enabled, this ability is even more helpful.

Any updates on this feature? It would be great if this was part of the Kibana REST API set, so that we can have a method to setup spaces, roles, and users all with the Kibana front-end console. Ideally I would like to be able to POST /_security/spaces .... At any rate, keep up the great work.

For those subscribed to this issue: would you expect a clone feature to copy all saved objects (dashboards, visualizations, index patterns, settings, etc.) that exist within the space, or would you expect the clone to have the same configuration, but start off empty?

My gut reaction says you'd want the former, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

a clone including everything from the space that is being cloned
