Closing this because it's not planned to be resolved in the foreseeable future. It will be tracked in our Icebox and will be re-opened if our priorities change. Feel free to re-open if you think it should be melted sooner.
Graph is useful to visualize information gathered by the elastic stack.
Some Graphs that we could generate at the click of a button inside Graph or inside of the area where this data is surfaced include;
These scripts and options should be bundled with the Kibana download. With a script we could make a button that says generate a visualization of my mappings in Kibana and in Graph for each of these options. Time will be an interesting element, e.g. where and when did I explode these indices to include all these fields. This will be instantly useful to everybody would be a feature to run elastic search log files through a script that spots the key events; node start, node stop, node run out of memory, garbage collection happened, etc., and then throw those on a graph, and then use time.
This will save us overhead as we don't have to ship data to get useful Graphs.
