Custom space-selector message #83255

Describe the feature: The ability to edit the space selector welcoming message (Select your space. You can change your space at anytime)

Describe a specific use case for the feature:

This is similar to another request I made, https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/83254

While a persistent banner is useful for displaying a very prominent and temporary message, the spaces selector message I see as something that doesn't need to be as visible at all times.

A useful message there could be for example

"Refer to this link for documentation on what space contains what Refer to this link for who has access to each space Refer to this link for requesting access to a space"

Hey @gbit-is, thanks for your feedback. Just so I have a better understanding: is the space "description" not useful enough to distinguish one space from another? Are there any changes to the "description" field that we could make to improve its usefulness?

I'm not necessarily opposed to adding a custom message to this screen like we've done for the Login screen, but I want to make sure we're solving the right problems in the right way

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear enough, I mean a general message above all spaces so for example when an unexperienced enters elastic, they can be greeted with links to the internal documentation system

That is what I was thinking myself I could use it for, the system can be intimidating to new users and a link to the in-house tutorials and explinatins might help introduce new users to it

👍 Adding a quick note to say that as our organization migrates to Spaces (estimating 20-30+), it would be highly beneficial to have a custom message that helped new users. As the example provided shows, we would love to be able to refer them to some internal resource (wiki/etc) that provides details on the spaces available (since they won't see spaces they don't have access to), as well as a link to our internal forms for requesting access to the appropriate groups.

We're going to have to solve this temporarily with a "Getting Started" space that everyone sees with a default dashboard that will provide that information.
