casbin-mongoose-adapter 2.2.2 using mongoose 5.9.16 update to 5.10.8 #15

Is possible to upgrade mongoose from 5.9.16 to 5.10.8 ? We need to make use of mongo authentication mechanism MONGODB-AWS and that version doesn't support it. If not, is there any workaround? thanks in advance
