From what I see you obtain this by trying to open an unsupported file format, I will try to reproduce this if I can find my Age of Empire 2 CD... And then add more sanity checks to drv_default and/or the core program.

Most likeley unsupported .DAT file format but detected as so by Dragon UnPACKer. I will deal with this problem with your other report (2582198).
