The problem with video files VP6

  1. Open the file BIG (Harry Potter)
  2. Click on the resource with the extension VP6 (video)
  3. The plugin tries to open vp6-resource
  4. The program "freezes" for some time (depending on the size of the resource).
  5. The program continues.

Version: 5.60-5.62 b. 268 Description:

  1. Start drgunpack5.exe
  2. File-Open "X:\games\harry_potter_and_the_order_of_phoenix\movies.big"
  3. In program (to left) select folder with videos. Select file to ListView.
  4. Time "freeze" depends on the size of the video. (32 MB - 59 seconds)

Games: Harry Potter and Order Of Phoenix (Goblet Of Fire, Half-Blood Prince). Formats: container - big, video - vp6

I think the freeze you are experiencing is the preview feature. If you want to avoid it you can disable the preview feature or just lower the size limit for the preview in the options. The preview actually extracts the file (either in memory or on your hard disk) when you click on it in the list view which can be quite slow if using a slow medium (like a DVD or CD). Unfortunately I haven't added a progress bar for all file formats extraction (I try to do it as much as possible but it isn't always possible). If I find the game I will try it and check what I can improve.
