Twice now (both bluehost and siteground) I've found that reading raw data .gz files from websites, more that a few times, seems to cause the data to be damaged in some way, after which AWStats won't work, and the 'refresh now' button will not revive it. I don't know if this is anything to do, originally, with AWStats. It may be to do with the way the access logs typically something.com-aug-2018.gz save and store their data. I like to keep detailed records if I can, and this makes AWStats useless for me!
