Both HD radio and (to a lesser degree) FM radio have sound quality issues. Especially with music distortion can be heard, mostly from the center speaker. It sounds like a clipping or amplification issue. First instinct was a broken center speaker, but no other sources are affected.

Unknown. Dealership plans to replace rear window (which contains the antenna), even though the issue is not related to reception (as HD radio is digital). Audi of America refuses to comment.
