Cooling fluid leakage in electric motor

Description

Some Audi e-tron owners has reported that Audi found oil in cooling fluid indicating a leak in one of the electric motors.

The error message is in some incidents that it is an error with the electrical system

Error messages

electrical system: malfunction
Bilens ledningsnett: feil
Elektrische installatie: storing

This has again been caused by cooling fluid leaking into electric motor wires and causing shortcuts and ruining the electric motor.

The car is undrivable at that point.

There have been incidents both for front and rear electric motor and both for e-tron 50 and e-tron 55.

Audi e-tron have a AKA320 electric motor in the rear that is water cooled. It is a very advanced structure and fluid flows in different areas to keep the electric motor cool under even the hardedst condition. This error happens when fluid is reaching some of the parts in the electric motor it should not.
