Possible to split MISO North, Central, and South? #4595

Each of these regions has a different fuel mix and some regions may be more favorable than others. For example, MISO N has a high penetration of wind and is rapidly shifting away from coal.

Hello,

To split a region we need live data on generation by fuel/source in each of the subregions, and energy flows between the regions. Do you know if this data is available from MISO or another source?

Hmm. I’m not sure if that’s available data. That is an understandable constraint. It doesn’t look like it’s available here: https://www.misoenergy.org/markets-and-operations/RTDataAPIs/

If there is any hub info in the available data, a key could be created perhaps to assign regions.
