Max crashes when Oopsy is run from inside Ableton Live 12 #85

is this normal behavior? I am testing exporting to oopsy while working on a gen~ patch inside a max4live device in Ableton Live 12 (using the Max executable, not the bundled version).

there are no console errors or text inside the bpatcher - max editor simply closes and the file recovery doesnt work. maybe we need to save the device first to trick the compiler since the device isnt saved and i recall that a maxpatch must be saved before the compiler can run when using standalone Max

yes that was it! save the max4live device first, then export will work as usual and you can test your patch while inside Ableton Live
