Installation problems when installer launched from network drive

• Version: 22.5.1 (Edit: same results with 22.10.5)
• Electron Version: 7.2.3 (Edit: same results with 11.2.3)
• Electron Type (current, beta, nightly): current
• Target: nsis

We have NSIS installer for our application and it works fine when the installer is launched from a local drive. However when launched from the network drive we experience one of the following issues:

• The installation process stops with the following error: "Error opening file for writing: C:\Program Files\Inspired Acoustics Connect\Uninstall Inspired Acoustics Connect.exe". Related config:

  • oneClick: false
  • perMachine: false
  • allowElevation: true

  None of these configurations are respected. The installer jumps immediately to the installation without asking for elevated permissions or allowing to choose installation mode.

• The installation is successfull, but when we launch the application and open the console, it says: "Uncaught Error: Access is denied. \?\C:\Users\MyUser\AppData\Local\Temp\64aa00ad-939d-4fb3-a124-bcbecaa8f39f.tmp.node". Related config (one of the combinations that results in this error)

  • oneClick: false
  • perMachine: true
  • allowElevation: true

  This occurs even when the installer is run as admin.
