Internal room ID shown instead of the display name #1207

In the latest version of RiotX (0.18.1), a number of chats are not correctly shown and displayed with the internal room ID !aZbzXhhQMSgBPNjQNt:<domain_name>, instead of the correctly displayed name @appservice-irc:matrix.org, as is the case in the latest version of Riot.im.

I can reproduce this with both @appservice-irc:matrix.org and another user which doesn't have a display name.

I too am seeing this for a one-to-one chat with a user without display name. RiotX v0.18.1

Can confirm, this shows for me for a bunch of users without display names. Very difficult to figure out who is who now with "element"

this bug still exists and is just happening to me. in case of unnamed rooms, it shows "null and otheruser" or "null and X others".
