Missing authorization dialog with self-hosted integration manager (sticker picker) #2587

Open theCalcaholic opened 3 years ago

theCalcaholic commented 3 years ago

Describe the bug

On web, when you are using a self-hosted instance of dimension as integration manager and you are opening the sticker picker for the first time, you are presented with the following dialog:

element_bug_report0

However, this dialog is missing on Element for Android (as far as I understand the issue), resulting in an authorization error:

element_bug_report2

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Configure a self-hosted dimension instance as integrations manager
  2. try to open the sticker picker

Expected behavior Element should behave analogous to Element web

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

will this ever be implemented?

I would also kindly ask if this Bug will be fixed in the near future. As it makes the feature of hosting your own integration manager pretty useless, if it's not correctly supported on one of the major client/platform.

Commenting another year later, how come that still no one seems to be interested in fixing this?

Not sure if this is the same issue but it really does look like it, I guess it's not a huge deal because you can modify the widgets from web and use them on mobile but it would be nice to have! I guess since dimension is now no more maintained it's probably less attractive to implement nevertheless I think enough people still use dimension so that it might be worth implementing, I'd definitely be grateful!
