Verification fails across user from Element iOS ->Element Android #5910

Steps to reproduce

  1. App store Element Android (EA) and Element iOS (EI)
  2. Initiative verification in DM from EI
  3. Do QR verif, either EA scanning EI or vice versa
  4. Get a big scary red "verification unsuccessful" cross.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Verification should work (unless the account is being MITM'd(!))

What happened instead?

Verification failed.
