Application hangs after maximizing #1903

Steps to reproduce

  1. Where are you starting? What can you see?

The app window is open and functioning normally.

  1. What do you click?

The maximize button.

  1. More steps…

Outcome

What did you expect?

The application to continue to work normally.

What happened instead?

After I maximize the window, it stops responding. Even hovering over the minimize/restore/maximize buttons does nothing whereas normally the icons would appear on those buttons. I have to switch to another application to get the OS System menu, then force quit Element and restart it.

Operating system

maxOSX Sonoma 14.6.1 on M1 Macbook Pro

I can't reproduce the issue. Can you share the logs?
