Keyboard blocks text input on chats after pressing send #7613

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open element
  2. open conversation
  3. send a message

Outcome

What did you expect?

Text input box to stay on top of keyboard to allow subsequent messages.

What happened instead?

Text input box drops behind keyboard and does not allow input without leaving the conversation and returning in. (Swiping down on chat doesn’t dismiss the keyboard)

I can confirm this is happening on update 17 beta 2 on iPad also

Sometimes the issue hides the text box before you send the message.

Sorry, until iOS 17 nears GM, we won't be looking into any issues related to the Beta. Often they're resolved by Apple in later builds so it isn't worth our time to investigate them so early on in the cycle.

I am closing it now. Please create a new issue if Apple does not fix it in the GM or the final release of iOS 17.
