Receiving silent and empty notifications / calls #7677

Steps to reproduce

  1. Where are you starting? What can you see? Receiving a message or a call

Outcome

What did you expect? Receiving descriptive notifications whenever an update occurs.

What happened instead? Whenever I receive a message, I get an empty notification, it says "Notification" only and shows the app's name above it. It's also a silent one. Also, when I receive a call I get a series of notifications similar to the described above.

Note that I'm working on a clone where the only thing changed is the sygnal url (I host my own matrix server).

@fnwtv @rumz26 yes I have been able to solve it. It turned out that I had the app groups misconfigured. Once I fixed it the notifications started to work well.
