Having settings to save message offline would be cool. There should some settings on how much messages to store and weather to store files offline.

Setting for how many message to store per conversation or setting on how far back to keep messages
Setting on whether to keep images stored offline
Setting on whether to keep audio files stored offline
Setting on whether to keep video files stored offline
Setting on whether to keep other files stored offline

That's a good suggestion, but you're lucky it wasn't viciously closed. Even asking about that was a no-no, see vector-im/element-web#14753.
