Pluralized translations do not consider design/product requirements #13060

If the design requires the copy to say "this session" for 1 device and "these sessions" for other devices then we're supposed to use pluralization. However, the translated string only works on one of those two strings, which could mean that the translation ends up saying something like "these 16 devices", which is not necessarily what we want.

I'm not quite sure I understand this one - could you give an example of a thing that can't be achieved with the current translation system?

The referenced PR has a different string for singular versus plural, but the translators won't really see what we intend the singular string to be. It's not a complaint yet from the community, but could be problematic over time.
