As a temporary workaround go in the Voice & Video
settings and select Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
instead of Default Device
for Audio Output
and Microphone
, this should make it work until the next launch
Can you send debug logs for this? Settings / Help & About / Submit Debug Logs. Can you hear the other person if you adjust the volume manually? What audio output devices appear in voice & video settings?

Done
@FlorianJSa Thanks we received the logs, but I did not notice any evidence of calls... The logs only go back to 2021-03-04, have you tried calling in the last few days, or only when the issue was reported? You may need to try calling again, then immediately submit debug logs, and include the link to this issue.

Thanks for your reply, yes i have tried to call someone. Maybe it will help if I try again and send the logs again
I have the same issue
Do not hesitate to contact me if you find a solution to fix this problem. I have been looking for a solution for months
It seems that I'm dealing with the same problem since last week on several ubuntu-based linux distributions. The problem seems to be related to device privileges and some interference with pulse audio. I documented my tests in the ZorinOS-Forum at https://forum.zorin.com/t/microphone-error-using-chat-clients/
The problem is consistent with official repo, flatpak and snap. I tested with ubuntu 20.04 based ZorinOS as with Ubuntu 22.04.
Description
Currently it is not possible for me to start a call with another person regardless of whether the person uses another home server or not. When I look at the log of the desktop I get the following error:
[14002:0207/130359.115715:ERROR:audio_rtp_receiver.cc(89)] AudioRtpReceiver::OnSetVolume: No audio channel exists
Steps to reproduce
Describe how what happens differs from what you expected. The call partner cannot be heard
