Delight: Add more context to the "Setting up keys" modal #21985

Your use case

During the users first session we show 2 modals that are loading screens and they say "Setting up keys". We may be able to add another line on content here that explains what are keys and makes waiting less painful... Especially as the keys are a necessary part of our Security USP and will be needed to log back in

@BillCarsonFr @amshakal WDYT? Is there some copy that you think user's would benefit from on this screen?

germain-gg commented 2 years ago

More importantly, I believe we should say that this action does not need to be completed instantly. It probably should be completed within the first 24 hours, but if it's not done instantly it won't be too much of a problem.

The glaring issue I see here is that once dismissed, a user has no way to find that setting easily. We could detect that users has dismissed that toast, and add a trail for users to find the secure backup setup option in their settings so that they set it up in their own time

daniellekirkwood commented 2 years ago

This screen comes up automatically - the user doesn't click to complete this... Are you suggested we make this optional during the first session @gsouquet ?

Fully agree with your second point

germain-gg commented 2 years ago

Ohhh sorry, I misread the issue, and somehow assumed we were talking about the "Set up secure backup" toast in the background... My bad!

kittykat commented 2 years ago

I wonder if the "setting up keys" can happen in the background while the user can already see the UI, and only show the popup dialog when it's blocking an action that the user is starting to take?

@pmaier1 & @americanrefugee some feedback that we had a while back - might feed into the work that you are looking at.
