enable auto scroll only when you have a chat room in focus and the app is not minimized #23574

Your use case

What would you like to do?

When I have the app open, and I'm in a chat room, that is when it should auto scroll for that room only. All other chat rooms should not auto scroll.

Why would you like to do it?

I don't like to have to click the button to scroll up to the last unread message

How would you like to achieve it?

  1. app is minimized - disable auto scroll
  2. app is not minimized and I have clicked on a room - enable auto scroll for that room only
  3. app is not minimized and I have clicked on a room while new messages come into the other rooms - disable auto scroll for those other rooms

Have you considered any alternatives?

Discord works this way.

That is not how our repository works. We use issues for feature requests.

We also don't have discussions enabled. So please stop moderating issues if you are not familiar with the way things work here.
