No notification sounds #2928

Steps to reproduce

Hello, I do not receive any notification sounds for new messages, only a popup window appears. Notifications on this device are activated, this works for all other apps, e.g. also the predecessor Element or FluffyChat.

Outcome

What did you expect?

a notification sound when a new message appears

What happened instead?

only a pop-up window appears without sound

@jolichter Did you send logs for this, I can't find anything that looks to be for this issue.

Can I check, when you try to compare with Element iOS, are you comparing the same rooms? E.g. a direct 1:1 chat with someone vs a group chat?

Thank you very much for your feedback! Sorry, no idea why that didn't work, I have just sent the analysis data again via app with the reference to this issue.

PS: Currently I use FluffyChat & Element X on my iOS and Element on my Linux Desktop. PS2: As far as I know, neither FluffyChat nor the Linux Elelemt version currently uses Sliding Sync? Could that have something to do with it?

@pixlwave by 'logs', do you mean the analysis data from the Element X app? Have you received these, or did I misunderstand?

I'm just wondering why I get a notification sound with all the other apps I use. Apparently, I'm the only one here who doesn't get the notification sound, so it's probably not a bug. Or can anyone else confirm this issue?
