Make the sender compute URL previews #298

The sender should be able to compute a URL preview when sending a link, then privacy could be maintained since the server would not need to compute the preview, thus not needing to have access to the link.

Drawbacks

Someone could subvert URL-preview settings on the server by altering their client

I don't know how/can't add labels so can someone add the feature/idea/proposal label?

also i'm sorry if this is a silly idea! i just thought it might be nice for some people.
