Accept only first party cookies for enhanced privacy #130

Out of the box, Ephemeral and Brave both block third-party cookies to reduce unwanted forms of cross-site tracking via ads. It'd be great for elementary's default browser to ship a privacy enhancing default. Fixes #127.

The same setting has been working well for me in Firefox (my default browser) since over a year, without any noticeable regression. In my limited testing, as far as I can tell, Epiphany is working fine with some popular sites.

@danrabbit wanna trial this one for a while and see if there are any obvious breakages?

danirabbit commented 5 years ago

If I remember correctly we changed this because it was breaking some logins like Google, Facebook, etc login

cassidyjames commented 5 years ago

@danrabbit I'm currently testing it, but have successfully logged into a site's Disqus comments with Google and it all is working fine so far. I'll keep testing it.

Still haven't faced any issue, logging into sites via Github also works.
