When I select the hybird graphics on nvidia I usually in Gnome or in Cinnamon (I didn't use KDE) I usually have an option which indicates launch with NVIDIA graphics on the panel or on the Dock. I would highly appreciate to see this feature implemented to elementaryos plank. we only have it on application launcher which is OK but can be better.
Proposal
I have two ideas:
1) implement same as cinnamon, GNOME (by right clicking to reveal nvidia graphics option)
2) inside the applications settings, there can be an option "launch with nvidia drivers" for each application. so whenever someone just clicks on the application, it will automatically run with nvidia graphics which is just one step process
