Missing Dock | Wrong possition #257

What Happened?

After install the Dock is completly missing. Opening from CLI then the Dock stays in wrong possition. Snímky obrazovky pořízený 2024-07-16 08 34 13

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Clean Install Elementary OS 8 Early Access
  2. - 3.-

Expected Behavior

OS start with Dock opened and on expected position.

8.x (Early Access)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Are you using the X11 session ?

Yes.. Ive tried with Wayland and Dock is working correctly :) Why isnt Wayland default btw

Early Access is not ready for everyday use, this dock is made for the Wayland session which will be the default in the future

Yes, this dock only works with Wayland. Tracking launching Plank for X11 in this issue https://github.com/elementary/gala/issues/1965
