Black screen after login and long time to show desktop-Elementary 5.1.7 #544

Hi,

I'm experiencing a weird problem after the logon screen on my Elementary 5.1.7. Randomly, the system took long time to show me the desktop and wingpanel, I could see only a black screen and the mouse pointer.

Not every time when I reboot it happens. I can give more information if needed.

Hello, This problem also happens to me after suspending. So I got a new prompt using CTRL+ALT+F2, then restarted lightdm by running sudo systemctl restart lightdm. System kept the state it was before crashing.

I'll try this workaround next time, as I was too greeted by a black screen after locking an open session for lunch and logging back in after an hour.

For comparison, I've tested Ubuntu and Kubuntu 20.04 over the weekend, and this hasn't happened on those distros.
