Login prompt input blocked after pressing enter #551

Closed r-ichard closed 2 years ago

What Happened

Once on lock screen if I simply press "Enter" the input become disabled and I can't type anything anymore into it.

I can press "Enter" if there is anything in the input but if the input in fully empty, it just freeze on disabled mode.

This happens anytime I'm on lockscreen (on restart, when I lock my screen manually etc.)

Expected Behavior

When I press enter with the input fully empty the "empty password" should be submitted and therefore tell me it's a wrong password, so I can still type something in the input.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Lock your screen
  2. Press Enter
  3. Try to type into the input prompt

Logs

I would be happy to provide some. If anyone can tell me how I can do that.

Platform Information

elementary OS 5.1.7 Hera Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS Linux 4.15.0-153-generic GTK 3.22.30

I can confirm that if you repeatedly press "Enter" (several times a second) instead of entering a password the input entry will become unfocusable. It is still possible to use the Wingpanel or select a different user.
