Mixed languages in Try Demo Mode #533

(This was tested with elementaryos-6.0-daily.20210503)

Describe the bug I get mixed languages (English, Bulgarian) in various settings plugs in the Try Demo Mode after clicking Language & Region (without changing anything).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Choose Try Demo Mode in the new installer, choose English as (system) language.
  2. Once the desktop is loaded, go to Settings
  3. Click on one of the plugs: all labels should be in English.
  4. Go back to All Settings
  5. Click on Language & Region
  6. Notice that the default Region says Australia and Formats says Bulgaria
  7. Go back to All Settings again
  8. Now click on one of the plugs again. The labels are now in mixed English and Bulgarian.

Expected behavior The language for the labels should still be English.

Additional context What could be worth mentioning is that I chose Swedish keyboard layout in the installer since that is what my laptop has.

I'm pretty sure that this is a bug with the switchboard plug rather than the installer as I feel we've seen this before we even had the new installer.

@davidmhewitt That seems likely since the mixed language labels start appearing after clicking on Language & Region (i.e. activating switchboard-plug-locale). I can however not reproduce this on my installed version of Hera, so it's something in the system state of the Demo mode that causes this.

i reported the same issue in the correct repository https://github.com/elementary/switchboard-plug-display/issues/309

maybe close this as duplicate or the other and move this issue to the correct repo
