Adding accounts on KDE Plasma

Problem

Currently, trying to add accounts on Plasma creates an "open with..." dialog, but there's no way to set up any accounts.

Proposal

I assume it will require Plasma-specific changes that you might not be willing to do. But Mail has a lot of potential, as it's a much more modern client than others you can use on Plasma (like KMail)

Would it be possible for you to build https://github.com/elementary/switchboard-plug-onlineaccounts separately and check if it works? I feel like this is sort of a specific issue since most elementary apps are really only designed to work within the distro, that's sort of their "thing", like how apple only allows you to run mac on a macintosh. Imo it's what allows the distro to be as stable and coherent as it is. Also, have you checked out the GNOME project's Geary? Very similar email client in terms of look-and-feel, though I think it also only works with GNOME online accounts.

FYI I'm using Geary from flathub on elementary without any GNOME-specific stuff and it works just fine.
