A search for libgphoto2 indicates I do have libgphoto2-6 and libgphoto2-port12 installed, but in a patch version older than this answer.

Reading from the Micro SD Card does work, but those things are tiny, fragile and expensive, so I would prefer other methods.

I was hoping to import videos from a GoPro Session using a usb cable using Photos. But it sticks at "Starting import, please wait..."
The same happens with Shotwell, so it might be a underlying dependency?
I didn't find GoPro related issues, not here but also not on StackExchange and Reddit.
