Feature
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I tried to make a new archive made of ~ 30k files (mp3s, videos and images). The archive manager showed a progress indicator, but it didn't move, staying all the time at 1%. It seems that the software is initializing, and not starting to compress files.
So I decided to try with another application. It's seems a bit more mature application, so I decided to configure it as the default archive manager. This is not possible at the moment from settings > application panel
the default archive manager, stuck at 1% forever
The other application, where the progress bar it's working, and other useful informations are shown.
Describe the solution you'd like
At first place, I'd say that the default archive manger is a bit too basic, but that is fine.
What about adding the default archive manager selection in the application settings panel ?
Existing work
none
Describe alternatives you've considered
Maybe adding some features to the archive manager (if it is an internal project!) :
