Dual monitor adjustment causes setup not to be on screen #200

The Elementary OS linux setup program always you to switch dual monitors. Somehow, the second monitor screen got misaliged (moving mouse, left side was up higher and right side was done lower), so now when applied settings, you can only use left screen, and can't see setup program to adjust now.

Not sure how to fix this.

Fiddling with monitor positions in the settings for me also produced windows with title-bars off screen. There should be an algorithm that moves windows so their title-bars can be accessed by mouse again. This may be an upstream issue as well.

@jeremypw Can you verify if this issue was fixed in the recent batch of multi monitor fixes.

jeremypw commented 5 years ago

@arshubham By "setup program" I assume you mean switchboard and the display plug rather than the installation program? The recent plug updates will not have fixed anything requiring moving windows that are displayed on an invisible part of the virtual display after changing monitor setup. I guess that is a gala (window manager) issue?

arshubham commented 5 years ago

@jeremypw I issue is a little unclear. Please move this to gala if that is more appropriate here.

@arshubham I think this is related: https://github.com/elementary/gala/issues/616
