Display settings not working as expected #308

I just installed the elementary OS 6 and when I go to display settings and try to disable one connected monitor it does not work. I click on the gear icon and disable the monitor. Apply changes and the monitor is still active and I can move stuff from one to another.

This appears to be a duplicate of #131 (and some others). PR #298 aims to fix this.
